10D the BIG question...

Read the Richer Sounds Case Study on page 134. Do you like the idea of working for a company with the approach to people management that Richer sounds has? Explain your answer.

  1. I agree with julian and his ideas. I think i would like to work there, its sounds fun, modern and different, this would keep the staff motivated and performing well in thier job. MENTALLL DUUUUUUUUDE.

    YEAH DEFO, beacuse if you are an employee and you suceed in your job you get rewarded and this will defiantly motivate them to do their jobs with pride and better.Also he gives loyalty which means that they will feel their job is sucure

  3. yes the ideas and perks from Richer Sounds absolutely delitful and would really takes my fancy :)
    the bonus you get for making a suggestion is great because you feel as though you are making a controbution to your company by getting paid for an idea being made.
    you get a healthy salry a year, and the perks of a holiday homes is amazing! and on top of that you can get free massages and pedecures at christmas that will really make you relax after a hard years of working ;)

  4. yeah the idea of working for a company with an approach to people management sounds good because its important to have a good relationship with your co workers so you can work in a team better. i also think no dress code is a good idea as people can really express themselvs in the way they dress and feel more confortable. the company also rewards the employess well.

  5. I like this idea because I don't like wearing suits and stuff. so it is nice to just wear your own stuff. and it seems a fun place to work I would prefer to do work if i was with some mates. And the perks of it sound good so even if i didn't get paid that much for the job I would still get free stuff. And it qould motivate someone who worked there so they probably wont leave the job if it is fun.

  7. I like the idea of Richer sounds because it make theemployees fell welcome and happy because they can wear what they want and they have a laugh at work. And also it gives them a reward for thinking of new ideas so this encourages them to be happy and work and enjoy it. Also using the people management system is good because the employees can make improvements on there own work instead of having to check it with a board of directors. So they will be happy at work and this will encourage the employees to work harder.

Because if you are an employee and you do well you get rearded for it. the managers also try to motivate their employees with compliments and they communicate with the employees to see how they can improve which also gives the employyes freedom to speech which motivates them. the managers also try to make the work place and enjoyable place so the employees would want to work there again.

  9. yes, i do like the idea of working for richer sounds. This is because they have many perks for the job also they are very relaxed with the dress code. which is only jeans and a t-shirt and then shorts in the summer, to encourage workers to feel more relaxed. Overall the business is not overly strict, such as a bring your pet to work day, and there are free loans for holiday homes, massages, and also facials and pedicures at christmas. The pay for the retail industry are very high, as a senior sales assistant can expect £18,000.

    yes i like the idea of working for richer sounds because they reward the staff if you do well, they make it fun to work and they make sure you enjoy it, even if u have a little part in the business such as a sales assistant you still greta paid ver high and that is good for young employees looking to learn. The business does not have many rules but the people know how good of a job it is so no one wants to break the little rules because of how much the enojy the job.

  11. i think that this is a great idea for people management. not only does it let people have a laid back style of work, it also lets them take the work at their own pace and do what they want at different periods of time during the day. for example the company give you schemes that are only designed to encourage people to work and to have fun while doing it, with giving you rewards for taking part in them. the rules that he has set for his business is only intended to make people feel comfortable in what thye do every day at work. i think its a great way to treat people. it basicaly like, treating people how you'd like to be treated.

  12. yes i would because its very motivating because they get alot of bonuses and the atmosphere at work is very relaxed and friendly which will encourage employees to want to go to work because they find it fun, also if there relaxed they will work harder.

  13. Because Richer Sounds treat their employees so well, the result of their happiness is a better standard or work and good attitudes in every worker. Personally, the idea where you are encouraged to work hard through perks and less strict rules is very appealing to me; not only would you feel comfortable at work and with your co-workers, but you would develop a great sense of pride and you can become proud to say that you work for that company.

  14. yes, they are very kind to employees and listen to them, giving them perks to motivate for example loans of holiday home. they take communication seriours, and give staff respect. they are nice to staff on return of good work.

I very much like the idea of working for a company with the approach to people management that Richer sound has, because it seems like it would be very fun to work there, for example you get a lot of fringe benefits and perks like the loan of holiday homes, free massages and even a take a pet to work scheme!. but the fact that most of the senor management started off being on the shop floor is very good and aspiring. Also Richer sounds give to charity. The emplooyees that work there are very motivated and happy working there.

    i would like to work there becasue it is diffrent
    to other business. Also this would keep the employees motivated letting the business have the best staff possible. Also their would be alot of bouneses such as holidays etc.

  17. I think that in many ways, the way that Richer Sounds motivates its employees' is very well thought out. There are many reward schemes and fringe benifits on top of monetary rewards that will help to motivate the staff. However I also think that only a business big enough would be able to operate in this way, as a smaller business with less money wouldn't be able to give as much money to charity, to it's staff in the form of monetary and non-monetary rewards. I WOULD like to work for a company like this.

  18. I think that working for a company with the approach to people management that Richer Sounds has would be great. The company offers a good reward scheme, has a casual dress code, and over all aims to make employees feel more comfortable and happy during work. I think this is good because it takes away a lot of stress from work without being too easy-going. It offers the chance to let employees give their voice if they think changes are neccessary, if employees are happier at work, then they work better so i think it would be a nice place to work. lace

  25. i think that richer sounds looks like a good job and very friendly . i think that julian richer has done really well for his business . I think that his approch to work is good , and looks like people can say what they think and tell some new ideas . also they have good perks such as a loan for a holiday home and you can get pampered .
