it would be a struggle because they charge hourly and if the customer only wants the car for half an hour they would have to spend a while finding the car and the time they use the car cannot easily be recorded. as well as this there is the trouble with tracking the car. the company will also need lots of offices near to where the cars are. They would need to deal with things like: - Theft - Drivers without licenses - Accessability - Locations (they would need a lot more people working at each location) - Methods of payment (knowing exactly how long they have been driving for)
Traditional car compinies don't have enough technology to be able to track cars. With the many IT aspects that steetcar has they are able to be sure that the customer won't steal the car. Also if all the transactions had to be carried out by humans it wouldn't be worth the customers time, with the technology streetcar is also very quick and efficient
