10b Big Q

Read the Streetcar casestudy on page 160 of the black books. Why would a traditional car company struggle to hire out vehicles for just 30 minutes?

  1. Because without new Technology, the usage of how long the cars are used for will not be recorded - or at least recorded easily. This means that the amount of money needed to pay for the car hire would not be clear....

  2. R&L&H:

They would struggle because the customers journey could be longer than 30 minutes, it might also find it hard to find customers as they would need a car to get to the car place to book a car this means its less convenient to customers and it could also be alot more expencive. :)

  5. there would be a lack of cars and lots of people wanting it which would be a problem. There is also a lack of technology so it would be harder to keep track of the car. matt and ersin

  6. They would have to deal with:
    - Theft
    - Drivers without licenses
    - Methods of payment (knowing exactly how long they have been driving for)
    - Locations (they would need a lot more people working at each location)
    - Accessability
    - Publicity
