  5. They may have located there because it was a large site which they could devleop on. Also, the closest competition is about 10 mintues away so they have a large target market. Finally, it is between two towns so it can attract lots of people.

  6. Waterlane has a lot of cars driving past on a day to day basis so with a big supermarket they will have more customers than a normal size supermarket. There are not other supermarkets located near it meaning that they are the only supermarket in that area.

  7. It is because their location is easy for people to access and is convienient. This ensures sales to be made. They may also be the only supermarket in their area so Sainsbury do not need to worry about competitors.

  8. Big space.
Well located so that people see it from the road.
Located next to motorway so people going on long journeys will need to supply themselves with fuel and food for the journey

  9. i believe they located there as it is inbetween farnhaham town centre and neighbouring villages of hale, badshot lea and heath end so they will have many customers who live fairly near. people will not use the car park for anything else as there is nothing around so it can save money building dat stuff, it is seen vary often as it is next to main roads so it will be seen by customers so they know 2 go there

  10. it is located there because it is right in cross section of bagshot lea, aldershot and farnham...plus the hogs back and inter link roads. there is a large petrol station there which draws people in and so they should theoretically make more profit.

  11. It located there as it is easy for people to access as it has many main roads leading there. It is also close to Farnham and will attract many people from this area for shopping as it is the closest large supermarket.

  13. Sainsbury's may have located there because there were few other major supermarkets near to there, so would have less competition, because there was space for a supermarket of that size and they could get planning permission and possibly because it was in a residential area therefore would mean they would get more customers as more people would be able to access it. It is also situated on main road so lots of cars will pass it so it will get lots of passing trade.

because it is on a busy bypass so it catches eyes and is it easy for drivers to refill petrol and shop in one place.

  15. Sainsbury's decided to locate their store at waterlane because it is on a main road with loads of cars driving past. This means that it would be convient for customers to just drive to sainburys, or see it and decide to do their shoping on the way to or from places.

  16. The sainsbury's in water lane is located there because it in on/near a main road, so people may stop there when they pass. It is also between two towns (farnham and aldershot) so they will attract people from the two towns instead of just one.

  17. Sainsbury's Waterlane have located where is has, because of one of many factors for example Land and Premises, Transport Costs, Nearness to markets, Labour and the Government. Land and Premises could have affect to this decision for instance the price of the land may have been cheap and the space available was convenient for sainsburys. Also another idea could have been that the area was very suited for the supermarket to make business than other places available.

  18. because the location is right next to the hogs back, farnham, bagshot lea, aldershot.. this means that more people will see the shop and also, if people are just driving through they will see the shop and may drop in for a snack or petrol.. howeve; anyone that has never been to this Sainsbury's before may feel themselves being repelled by the pungent stench of **** that floats around the air from the nearby sewer... yum.. ah well, it's convenient...
