10D Big question

The BIG question: Last lesson you learned about identifying gaps in the market. Sometimes gaps in the market occur because the market is growing meaning there is space for new businesses. Gaps in the market can also be in the form of a niche (pronounced neesh) market. Explain, giving an example if possible, what a niche market is.

  4. Ryan woodfine. a niche market is a market which doesnt have much interest or doesnt make as much profit any more. another definition is a market that has shrunk due to new products coming out. an example could be the N64 or cassettes.

  5. Dan Holden - A Niche market is a small part inside a larger market. E.G Vegan. It is not a big market aimed to earn loads of money. It targets a small profit, large enough for the workers to live on. But overall, it is a small business.

I think a niche market is a small market inside a bigger market for example vegatarians have stuff made suitable for them in shops, so it is a small part of the big market.
