i feel sorry for the children that have to put up with their parents that cant be bothered to get a job and work for them to keep there home and give them a better life.
It was quite bad you get me because people buy there children things in hope it will help them get friends and to be accepted.I think the quote about if you have a blackberry and a iPod you could live in a bin and still be cool is true because if you dont have one you feel like you dont fit in.
its out of order when if you dont have the money well familys dont have the money and the kids dont really want it they just dont want to be left out and bullyed.and want to be like every one elsa .
i dont agree with all of what i have just read because there is more of a pressure on parents to have to buy these electronic gifts, and they are feeling bad and then have to get into debt because they are scared for there children not being able to get these for the shortage of money and then cause more stress on themself when stupidly they think there child will be bullied for not having a 'blackberry'
I agree with this news story because i think that bullying and children being picked on is mostly due to the brands they wear and what they have if they dont have the right stuff then they wont be accepted, also i do think children crave more time with their families cause they want to be able to speak to their parents, but obviously because of other things like computer, tvs and phones children and familys dont get the bonding time they really need.
I think that this report is there to show that england is a country based on 'fitting in' and if u dont fit in you are seen as a outsider. I feel that this is wrong and that everyone should be treated equaly.
I feel sorry for the children who's parent have low income, because they are unable to keep up with the forever changing clothes and gadgets. And the only way they can avoid being bullied is by buying thes goods. It's not really fair.
I think that it is not fair because the parents are trying to stop there children from being bullied and if you dont have the things that other people have like a good phone or a ipod then they dont want you to join in. James
you with a phone or something like that. Also i think because if you do have a new phone and ipod then its true that families spend less time I think that if you are a child and dont have all the new technology then people will take advantage of you and go on about the new phone that they,ve got and a new ipod and all the up to date technology and will find it easy to pick on you and people wont accept together and get more distracted with other things and dont get the time to see eachother anymore because of computers and phones becoming such a great deal to their life.
I think that it is a bit over-exagerated but there is some truth behind it. You are under a bit of pressure to buy the latest stuff but you won't get bullied if you don't have it. You will still fit in even if you don't have it. I do feel sorry for them and a tiny bit guilty ut you can survive without the latest stuff and be ok.
I agree and feel really sorry for the kids that get bullied for this. If every business merged together for a certain topic, it wouldn't happen. But then they wouldn't be their own boss, and they won't get to decide what profit is split anymore.
I disagree with this because the parents are only trying to help their children from bullying. Also its making parents buy the latest gadgets like iPods, BlackBerrys ect. Unfortanly this is bring families apart as they are too involved in trying to buy the newest tech and not spending their money on food and water.
I argee with the BBC news here. I feel that most families are pressured into buying big brands so they do not look cheap. This is something that families should not have to worry about, they should focus on other important things such as needs food, water , warmth etc. Buying high class brands are what you call wants and are not needed in life to survive, any old clothes will do to keep you warm. i strongly agree with this news report as many people will have blackberry's and the latest gadgets.
ReplyDeletehaving the best goods in our world today almost shows a sign of power.
people also get judged by what they where, such as people who wore tesco's clothes will sometimes be known as "geeks" or "unfasionable".
