  6. The service they provide is covering teachers time off by providing sports coaching and the service is cheaper then hireing cover teachers and fits in with the natonal corriculum.

this gap in the market came due to a new law that gave teachers 10% for marking which needind covering and as child obisity became a growing problem sport was a good way to help solve it.

  7. Sportstar provides coaching for children so they can get active and do more sport.

the gap in the market occured because a law was passed so that teachers had to spend 10 percent of their time away from school. Sportstars worked to cover teachers as they were a cheaper alternative to supply teachers.
Also it might have been a gap in the market because they were going to do it for no pay while the business was being established

    i. Sport-Stars provide cheap coaching to get children active. Their aim was to help fight the problem of obesity, in children.

ii. The gap in the market occurred when a law was passed about teachers having to spend 10% of their time out of school grounds. Therefore head teachers had to cover teachers that were away but Sport-Stars made an offer, to give coaches for much less than the price for supply teachers; allowing the teachers to be off whilst making the children active and healthy - considering the percentage of obesity in young children.

  10. 1) the service that sportstars provide to schools is to coach the students to be healthy and do sport. they do thias to try and tackle child obesity.
    2) a gap in the market occured for this because a law was created that teachers can spend 10% of the working time away from school to plan lessons and mark books. this ment that supply teacher had to be hired and sportstars were cheaper then the supply teachers. also childhood obesity was becomeing a big problem and so they wanted to get the children more active and involved in sport.

  11. i)the coaches were alot cheaper and probally more experiance to hire than the teachers and the activaties was almost the same as the national project to help keep children fit and healthy

ii)the reason the gap in the market opened was because child obesity was becoming more and more of a problem and it would affect the childrens health later on in life so they need help to keep them fit also a law was passed so teachers had to spend at least 10% of their time away from school so they needed teachers to cover for the teachers who were away.

  12. i) The service that sportstars provides is coaching to children to help them become more active during the peroids that teachers are not covering at school
ii) The gap in the market occured because a law was interoduced allowing teachers to have 10% of work time off to plan lessons and mark books, and there were peroids which they would have had to hire cover teachers for, but they could instead go for the cheaper coaching. It also occured because it helped fight child obesity as well.

  13. i) the service sports stars provides is it provides sports coaches to schools for when teachers are off marking work and preparing for other lessons, so rather than the headteachers having to cover the lessons in primary schools, the sports star coaches would cover instead. They also do cheap holiday courses to get children playing sport and being active to fight against obesity
ii) The gap in the market occured when a new law was introduced which meant that allowed teachers 10% of their time working on things like lesson plans which meant that the headteachers had to cover the lesson. He also recognised that child obesity is becoming a problem so he wanted to do something which fought against the problem

  15. 1.) SportStars is a business that works to help help increase fitness in children by replacing supply teachers with sports coaches, the coaches then work to make sure the children reach the requirements of the national curriculum. The business started due to the rise in childhood obesity

2.) The gap in the market was created by the rise in childhood obesity in the uk. The gap in the market was also created by costs of hiring supply teachers to schools, SportStars' coaches are cheaper to hire than supply teachers and the sporting activities fitted in well with the national project to improve children's health

  17. i) Sportstarts provide coaching for children to help fight obisity.

ii) the gap in the market occured when a law was passes that teachers are able to have 10% of their time to plan lessons meaning they required someone to fill that 10% of time, as sportstars offered cheaper than supply teachers; they were able to get the job. also as there were obisity problems in the UK, people were looking to help their children lose weight meaning their business increased.

  18. i)Sports star provides cheap coaching for children, in schools and during the holidays. The coaches are cheaper to hire than supply teachers and offer sporting activitites to overcome britains problem with obesity within children. It also fits in with the requirments of the national curriculm so is beneficial to head teachers employing staff.

ii) The first gap in the market that occured, was the new law, which meant teahcers were entitled to 10% of their time away from school, this meant that head teachers had to get cover for the teachers absent, sports star offered coaches which were a lot cheaper than employing supply teachers. The second gap in the market that occured was childrens obesity rates, he saw that children in britain were becoming a lot more obese, which is why he provided a sports club, as this is one of the most likely things to cure child obesity.

  19. Sportstars was to encourage more childen in doing sports as James recognised that child obesity was becoming a problem so he wanted to provide cheap coaching for them to get active and doing exercise.

The gap in the market was due to the new law imposed, that teachers were allowed 10% of work time to be absent, to mark books and plan lessons. This meant cover teachers were needed. This is where Sportstars wanted to provide the cheap coaching as it cost less for schools than to hire cover teachers. It also helped the problem of obesity in children which was a concern for him that he wanted to solve.

  20. 1)The service that sportstars provide is coaching to children to make them become more active at the time when teachers are not covering at school
2)There was a gap in he markt because There was an increase of children becoming less active and obese so they use that to their advandtage and because there was a new law that teachers had to spend 10% of their time away from school, this means that headteachers had to supply cover teachers and sports stars offered coaches cheaper than supply teachers.
